Intensive therapy for children — real progress in a short time
Our intensive therapies over 1 to 3 weeks make it possible to address your child's individual needs in a targeted and concentrated way – on an outpatient basis, with the treatment density of inpatient rehabilitation but without a hospital stay, and with measurable progress.
Intensive support — lasting growth
In intensive therapy children receive several sessions a day — physiotherapy, occupational therapy and/or speech and language therapy — over a period of one to three weeks. That density is what matters: a child’s brain is especially receptive when new patterns are practised consistently and often. Neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to change, works best under intensive, repeated stimulation.
Many parents come to us feeling that regular therapy is not enough — too infrequent, too short, too little progress. Intensive therapy at HOME4MOTION Kids is the answer to that: we create progress in a short time that motivates you and your child again — and that lasts.
- three to five hours of therapy a day, combining physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy
- an opening and closing assessment with video analysis
- daily briefings for parents and a home exercise programme
- accommodation in our apartments at the Graz location if wanted

Intensive therapy for children is a modern and effective approach in rehabilitation, aimed at achieving noticeable progress in a short time. It is based on frequent, individually tailored therapy sessions that address each child's needs and abilities in a targeted way. This makes the most of their developmental potential and strengthens motor as well as cognitive and communicative skills.
Many parents look for children's rehabilitation or a rehabilitation centre for children and initially think of inpatient rehab – that is, a clinic where the child is admitted for several weeks and also lives. At HOME4MOTION Kids it works differently: we are not a hospital and not an inpatient rehabilitation facility, but a specialised therapy centre that children visit during the day for their therapy sessions – on an outpatient basis, yet with the treatment density of inpatient rehabilitation for children and adolescents. Your child comes to us in the morning, works through their individual therapy programme and then goes back home or to the apartment.
This form of outpatient children's rehabilitation combines the intensity of classic children's rehab with the advantages of everyday family life: no long hospital stay, no separation from familiar surroundings, but still daily, high-dose therapy sessions. For families travelling from further away we offer our own apartments directly at the Graz location – so an intensive week of rehabilitation can be organised well even without inpatient admission, with short distances between accommodation and therapy.
When does intensive therapy make particular sense?
After surgery (tendon surgery, botulinum toxin), when development seems to have reached a plateau, before starting school, during long waits for a regular therapy place — or simply when your child needs a push. Ask us and we will tell you honestly whether intensive therapy is the right thing for your child.
Why intensive therapy at HOME4MOTION Kids?
Our intensive therapies combine physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy under one roof – coordinated by our interdisciplinary team.
Through intensive support and the close cooperation of our interdisciplinary team of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy, we create an environment in which children receive the best possible support. With over 70 individual intensive therapies per year and daily sessions of up to 5 hours, we help your child to develop motor and cognitive skills in a targeted way.
So that families travelling from further away can concentrate fully on the therapy, we offer our own apartments directly at the Graz location. You stay comfortably nearby – without long journeys between accommodation and therapy. That way the energy stays where it belongs: with your child.
Our apartments are designed specifically for therapy families – barrier-free, fully equipped and directly bookable. You can find all information and availability here.
Important to know: HOME4MOTION Kids is not an inpatient rehabilitation clinic where your child is admitted and accommodated. We are an outpatient therapy centre – your child comes to us during the day for treatment and spends the nights at home or in the apartment with the family. This keeps the familiar environment intact while the therapy itself is just as intensive as in a classic children's rehabilitation programme.
An interdisciplinary team, every day
Physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy work together daily and in step — not each in its own corner, but as a real team.
Parents fully involved
Daily briefings, the chance to watch the session, a programme of exercises for home — parents are not spectators but active participants.
Making use of neuroplasticity
A child’s brain is especially adaptable — intensive, repeated practice demonstrably creates new neural connections faster.
Experience of more than 70 intensive blocks a year
Every year we run more than 70 intensive therapy blocks for children and adolescents — with documented progress and many moving stories behind them.
