Accessibility statement

Current state of accessibility

This website was built with the aim of being usable by as many people as possible. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. According to our own assessment the website largely meets these requirements; some content is still being worked on.

What is in place

• The website can be operated entirely by keyboard, and the focus is visible.
• Headings, lists and regions are marked up semantically so that screen readers can convey the structure.
• Text and background have been checked for sufficient contrast.
• Pages can be enlarged to 200 % and remain usable from a screen width of 320 pixels.
• The language of each page is declared in the markup; all content is available in German and English.
• Form fields have labels, and error messages name the field concerned.

What is not yet accessible

Some of the photos carried over do not yet have image descriptions. We are adding them continuously. Embedded Google Maps are outside our control; the addresses are also given as text on the contact page so they are accessible without the map.

Report a barrier

If you come across something that prevents you from using the site, write or call us. We normally reply within a few working days and tell you how we will proceed. If you need information in a more accessible form, we will also give it to you over the phone.

Note on device names

On some pages we name devices made by other manufacturers, such as the Lokomat, in order to describe the type of therapy. Such references describe the method and do not mean that the device in question is in use at our centre. The equipment we actually use is listed under “Rooms and equipment”.

This statement is based on a self-assessment by the operator. It is reviewed whenever the website changes.
